STI College strengthened its previously established collaboration with CompTIA, one of the world's leading providers of globally recognized information technology (IT) certifications and training through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on December 3, 2025, at the STI Academic Center Ortigas-Cainta.
The agreement reinforces STI’s commitment to integrating CompTIA’s industry-standard content into the curriculum, covering areas such as networking, cloud computing, and IT services. These skills are essential for building a successful career in the IT field.
Through this partnership students in the BS in Information Technology (BSIT) and BS in Computer Science (BSCS) programs will gain significant career advantage as their courses will have a comprehensive IT education aligned with global standards.
CompTIA is an internationally recognized organization that provides globally-acknowledged IT certifications. It helps IT professionals develop practical skills and expertise through certifications and training, empowering them to succeed in today’s competitive technology industry.
“We (CompTIA) exist because we create and validate globally certified skills that revolve around cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and cloud infrastructure—the very core skills that your students can acquire,” said Gilbert Cadiang, CompTIA Country Manager.
Beginning School Year 2026–2027, selected courses including Platform Technology (Operating Systems) and Network Technology 1, will be integrated with CompTIA-based modules and certification exams, making it accessible to students across STI campuses nationwide.
Highlighting the value of certification and how it helps the students in today's competitive job market, Cadiang stated, “Once their skills are validated, the certification becomes their passport to employment, and wherever they choose to work, they will be recognized.”
By integrating academic credentials with international professional certifications, STI students acquire both local and global recognition, providing them a stronger advantage in pursuing career opportunities in IT industry.
Aligned by its mission to nurture competent and future-ready individuals, STI College remains committed to delivering IT education and industry-aligned programs.
Through partnership like this with CompTIA, STI College ensures that students are equipped with the skills, certifications, and confidence to thrive in today’s modern workforce.
