STI, DOLE Ink Student Employment Partnership

STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI ESG) inked a memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to strengthen its partnership in providing employment opportunities for STI students after graduation. The partnership includes seminars and workshops for students to be organized by both STI ESG and DOLE to prepare them for employment.
The signing ceremony was attended by top officials from DOLE including Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, Undersecretary Carmela Torres, Assistant Secretary Paul Vincent Añover, and IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) Executive Director for Talent Development Frankie Antolin. Meanwhile, STI ESG was represented by its Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Monico Jacob and Alumni and Placement Services Head Anna Carmela Aquino.
DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma expressed his delight at the historic collaboration, underscoring the importance of education and employment for the nations citizens.
He emphasized the role of STI and its alignment with the Business Process Association of the Philippines in advancing the mission of promoting a productive and sustainable workforce.
“Matagal na pong bahagi ng mga activities ng Department of Labor and Employment ang STI. I think for more than a decade, very supportive and very reliable partner ng DOLE ang STI. Maraming, maraming salamat po sa ganyang klaseng pagpapatuloy na suporta (STI has long been part of the activities of the Department of Labor and Employment. I think for more than a decade, STI has been a very supportive and reliable partner of DOLE. Thank you so much for such continued support),” Sec. Laguesma said.
Meanwhile, STI ESG Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Monico Jacob emphasized STI's belief in the power of partnerships to bring the benefits of education to their students and shared a recent successful collaboration with Carnival Cruise Lines, exemplifying how such collaborations lead to practical opportunities for students.
“We thrive on partnership. We feel that it is only through partnership that we can bring the fruit of education to our students. So, we are very happy that we are signing this Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Labor and Employment, not only because it is the continuation of what has been started, but we feel that DOLE is a very important component of this project,” Jacob said.
The collaboration between STI ESG and DOLE is also in line with the academic institution’s Enrollment to Employment (E2E) System which aims to assist students get applicable education, job market skills, job preparedness, and job placement assistance.
