Shell-Jollibee scholars successfully finish program

STI College – Taft recently recognized the first batch of Pilipinas Shell and Jollibee scholars, after graduating from their Food and Beverage Services and Commercial Cooking Training programs with flying colors last September 30.

 

The 6-month certification program is divided into two modules that have helped the 17 scholars gain the necessary skills and knowledge in the different areas of food and beverage services and commercial cooking.

 

The Shell-Jollibee scholarship program in partnership with STI College began in April 2008 with the goal of providing deserving out-of-school youths in the Philippines with an access to quality and efficient technical education and skills development.

 

Present during the commencement ceremonies at STI College – Taft are Shell Executive Director Edgardo Veron Cruz, Jollibee Program Officer Sherrilyn Samaco, STI Officials -  Executive Vice President and COO Peter K. Fernandez, Vice President for Communications Elbert L. de Guzman, Vice President for School Operations Resty O. Bundoc, Business and Management Research Head Aisa H. Baizas, STI College-Taft COO Christopher Maque, and STI Foundation Executive Director Bambi Asis-Geronimo.
