STI College Scores High with 84% in PNLE
July 25, 2008
STI College garnered an 84% passing rate in the recently concluded Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE) held last June. With 55 passers out of the 66 takers, STI is also the proud home of Marienne Sungcad Bravo of STI College Cebu–Lahug, who earned the Top Ten post with 84.20%.
For this year’s batch of Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates, STI conducted its first Nationwide Nursing Summit with the battle cry “PUSH 4 100” (Preparing and Uplifting STI’s Healthcare Education for 100% passing rate). Consequently, three campuses have achieved a 100% passing rate for this year. These are STI College-Cebu, STI College-Lucena and STI College-Recto.
Equally notable are STI College-Sta. Maria with a passing rate of 88.24%; STI College-Cubao with 81.25%; STI College-Baguio with 80% and STI College-Global City with 66.67%.
The 2008 results signify STI’s academic feat with more campuses raising the bar. Last year, STI College-San Pablo sent its first batch of graduates to take the PNLE, which resulted to six passers out of seven takers.
To date, there are 20 STI campuses offering the said program. DLS-STI, a subsidiary of STI, also entered the top ten ranking with Stephanie Anne Chan Lopez landing at the ninth post with 84.40%.
