March 26, 2019
The nationwide exhibit that served as a channel for STI students to showcase their creativity is back to wow the crowd! The Senior High School (SHS) Expo once again gathered young innovative minds in a 3-day event to bring an array of new products, setting the bar for authentic products and services entering the market.
Launched on March 13, 2019, the SHS Expo 2019 rolled out across STI campuses nationwide. Take the tour and see the original products, treats, artworks, apps, and other exciting discoveries from the student exhibitors.
Welcome to SHS Expo 2019
Booths decorated in colorful streamers, ambient lights, and pumped up music greet the guests upon entering the venue.
Senior high students from various strands presented their creations born from out of the box ideas. While many of the finds were next-level versions of common consumer products, the exhibitors gave their best to make original products that will stand out.
Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and business consultants were also present to check out these startups. The companies that matched their criteria were selected for DTI’s Choice and will get free mentoring services and legal assistance in establishing their business.
One of the products named as the DTI’s Choice was the Fragrancia Arts and Crafts. Featuring lamps made of popsicle sticks complete with a scented wax melt, their intricately designed lanterns promise a relaxing, vintage vibe.

As you tour around the expo, there’s never a boring moment as you also get first dibs on exciting gaming applications and discover the machine designs made by the tech students.
Serving a dose of inspiration and generating insights as well on relevant topics collectively, young artists brought together their artworks in a meaningful exhibition. While some coupled their craftsmanship with communication skills to highlight tourist attractions.
After checking out the booths and trying out all the activities, food stalls catered the hungry guests. From sweet desserts to savory treats, the expo experience is not complete if you haven’t stopped to get a taste of the food and refreshing drinks they had offered.
Surely it was challenging for the students to operate their startups during the expo. But as it turns out successful, this only proves what they are capable of achieving.
The future is bright for our senior high school students! And the nationwide SHS Expo is yet another step towards their dream. Continuing its drive to hone well-rounded individuals, STI holds the event every year where students can get insights and experience a real-world work environment on their own means.
