STI Naga Formally Breaks Ground

Starting the year right, STI executives along with CHED and TESDA local officials finally broke ground on a 5,000 square meter STI property located at the Central Business District (CBD) II of Naga City, which marked the official commencement of STI Naga's campus construction.
Rusty O. Lagatic, the school's Deputy School Administrator, led the opening ceremony and highlighted the importance of the event in STI Naga's history.
With a brief yet hearty message, STI President and CEO Monico V. Jacob said that the new STI Naga campus is a symbol of STI's growth and commitment to provide better education to the Bicolano youth. He also added that everybody's concerted effort is necessary to continuously bring unparalleled service and education to the students.
Eyeing completion by June 2010, the new STI Naga building will stand on a strategic site, easily accessible from all points of the region. With a total floor area of 3,869 square meters, not to mention a spacious basketball court on the side, the Wi-Fi enabled campus will boast of state-of-the-art facilities including three computer laboratories with 17" flat screen monitors plus Physics, Chemistry, Drawing and Technical laboratories among others.
The new building will also feature an 81 square meter library packed with the latest book titles, a canteen, courtyard, and a mezzanine that will house the library and other offices. Hot and cold kitchen areas, a mock front office, dining area, and suite room will also be available specifically for HRM students.
Apart from STI executives and representatives from local agencies, also present in the groundbreaking were the employees and students of STI Naga who eagerly anticipate the completion of their new home. As the ceremony came to a close, school officials thanked everyone involved in the project for bringing yet another STI dream to life.
