This program is only available at NAMEI Polytechnic Institute located at STI College Sta. Mesa.

Designed to train and prepare students with the right knowledge and competencies to accomplish their future duties and responsibilities as marine officers, our BSMT program offers hands-on practices and training in seamanship, cargo handling, stowage, and controlling safe operation at the operational level, among others.

Graduates of the BSMT program are qualified to take the Maritime Administration's prescribed assessment of competence for certification as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on seagoing ships of 500 gross tons.

Admission Requirements

The following requirements must be submitted to the Registrar's Office before admission to any academic program:

College Freshmen

  1. Original copy of Form 138 (Report Card) or SF9-SHS (Original Copy of Grade 12 Learner's Progress Report Card)
  2. Original copy of Form 137 or SF10-SHS (Learner's Permanent Academic Record)
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  4. Photocopy of Birth Certificate authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)
  5. Four pcs. 1"x1" and two pcs. 2"x2" ID pictures
  6. Entrance examination
  7. Medical requirements (to be submitted upon enrollment and yearly thereafter)
    1. Physical Examination
    2. Complete Blood Count
    3. Urinalysis
    4. Stool Examination
    5. Chest X-ray
    6. Ishihara, Visual Acuity and Hearing Tests
  1. Must not be over 20 years old at the time of opening of classes

College Transferees
