STIers win big in the 11th PWA

The official website of STI Colleges and Education Centers won the Best Web Site Award under the Schools Category in the recently concluded 11th Philippine Web Awards (PWA).

 

Also victorious that night were STI alumni John Carlo R. Nova, now President and CEO of Victa Software Solutions, Project Manager William Villena, and in-house developer Ryan Macaspac, bringing home the Best Web Site Award under the Celebrities and Personalities category, with their entry the Official Website of Hon. Congresswoman Mitos H. Magsaysay.

"Our team's success didn't happen overnight. It is our patience and hard work that led us in creating value in this society through innovative intervention, shares Nova.

 

With 18 final categories and 79 finalists, this year's PWA had respected web enthusiasts and professionals in the industry like Yahoo!, Multiply, CBS, and McCann Erickson as judges. The finalists were judged based on the content, design, usability, and the functionality and technicality of the website.

 

The PWA is an award giving body that honors the best Filipino-created websites as well as the individuals and teams behind them.
