STI Aids Bayaning Pulis with Scholarships for PNP's Kin

STI College supports Bayaning Pulis Foundation in the awarding of educational grants and assistance to the dependents of fallen heroes from the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The ceremony was held at Meridian Innovation Center, Double Dragon Meridian Park in Pasay City on August 18, 2023.

Established on September 18, 2022, the Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc. has pursued an unwavering mission to provide monetary support and educational opportunities to the families left behind by dedicated police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Chairman of Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc. Ambassador Benedicto Yujuico led the ceremony alongside Police Lt. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia, Deputy Chief PNP for Administration, Board of Trustees of the Foundation, and Senior PNP Officers from the Center for Police Strategy Management (CPSM) and PNP-Directorate for Personnel Management (DPRM).

Regina Pacifico, Chief Operating Officer of ASA Philippines Foundation, and Arlyn Yagaya and Cynthia Casido of ASA Philippines Foundation.

 

Ambassador Benedicto Yujuico addressed the gathering with an inspiring message, emphasizing the significance of these scholarships.

"These scholarships are not just financial aid; they represent a profound commitment to the families left behind by our dedicated police officers," he said.

PLTGEN Rhodel Sermonia, Deputy Chief PNP for Administration, together with Ambassador Benedicto V. Yujuico, Chairman of Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc., conferred the Certificate of Educational Grant and assistance to the 23 beneficiaries who are all dependents of PNP Heroes; assisted by retired PBGEN Noel A. Baraceros, President of the Foundation, PBGEN Matthew Baccay and PBGEN Victor V Arevalo, Director of the Center for Police Strategy Management. 
PNP and Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc. officials award the educational grant to one of the beneficiaries.

"By providing scholarships to the children of fallen police officers, we are not only recognizing their parents' sacrifice but also investing in the future of our society," Yujuico added.

STI had given scholarships to help the beneficiaries become industry professionals amidst life challenges.

The Foundation supports a total of 63 individuals with educational grants and assistance from preschool to college, which reflects the Foundation's unwavering commitment to shaping a generation that understands the value of service, the importance of community, and the power of education.

The partnership between the Bayaning Pulis Foundation, Inc. and STI College stands as a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring power of education and compassion in our society.
