STI Inks Partnership with DAP

STI Education Services Group, Inc. (STI ESG) and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) during the latter’s Philippine Conference on Data Science and Analytics on May 12, 2021.

Representing STI ESG, President Peter K. Fernandez attended the partnership’s Ceremonial MOU Signing together with the representatives of DAP via Zoom app.

To enable the industry of Data Science and Analytics, the partnership aspires to successfully implement the Smarter Philippines through Data Analytics, Research and Development, Training and Adoption (SPARTA), a project that aims to put in place the necessary online education as well as research and development mechanism and infrastructure.

As part of the collaboration, DAP prepares to implement various activities such as town hall meetings, online roadshows, and hackathons that will strengthen STI’s Bachelor of Science in Retail Technology and Consumer Science (BSRTCS) program.

Webinar series about knowledge enhancement, employment opportunities, career development, and government projects in the field of data science and analytics can also be expected in the partnership.

Moreover, 1,500 slots for the online training component of SPARTA are allotted for STI scholars.
