ABS-CBN gears STIers with life-saving hacks

Ready for When Red Alert Strikes
In times of disasters, calamities, and emergencies, you would normally not have the time to pack what you need to survive for the next 48-78 hours. That’s the importance of having a go bag (or maybe even a go bucket).
A go bag is just one of the things our STI students, along with a few professors from STI College – Dagupan, learned from the experts during the Red Alert Emergency Expo 2017 on July 29, 2017 at the Capitol Resort Hotel in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Held by the ABS CBN News and Current Affairs and hosted by the show’s Atom Araullo and Gretchen Fullido, the seminar on emergency response tips and disaster preparedness drilled its participants with practical knowledge and skills in immersive activities they called ‘Survival Olympics.’
The specialists and professionals in the field such as Dr. Ted Esguerra, Alvin Suarez, Noel “Kabasat” Cabobos, and Louie Domingo also taught the students what to do and how to react during emergency situations such as typhoons, fires, live shooting, and even during hostile robbery.
This is the 2nd year in a row that STI has partnered with the ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs to bring the Red Alert Emergency Expo to the youth and citizens around the nation, empowering more people with the life-saving tips and information.
