STI Celebrates Childlike Christmas Year 3

The true spirit of Christmas is all over STI once again as its students, faculty members, and staff from the STI Headquarters and STI Foundation got together on December 11, 2012 to share the holiday cheers with a number of children and media partners. Dubbed “Celebrating a Childlike Christmas Year 3,” the whole team celebrated another day of fun, sharing, and learning at the Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna with 40 children from ChildHope Asia Philippines.

ChildHope Asia Philippines is an international movement on behalf of street children in Asia. Their mission is to advocate for the cause of children who spend a considerable time working and living on the streets by educating, protecting, counseling, and assisting them.

STI has continuously partnered with ChildHope Asia Philippines for the first two years of the event, which were held at the Star City and then the Science Discovery Center in Pasay City, where the earlier batches of kids feasted on special holiday treats with STI’s media friends who acted as their guardians for the day.

Following the success of the previous “Childlike Christmas” celebrations, STI shared the heartwarming experience once more with a new batch of kids and media partners with the help of Enchanted Kingdom and Crocs.

Now on its 3rd year, "Celebrating a Childlike Christmas" brought another one-of-a-kind yuletide treat headed by 2nd year BS Hotel & Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and BS Tourism Management (BSTM) students of STI College – Global City who prepared exciting activities and sumptuous meals for the kids and guests. The event served as an opportunity for the STI students to share a memorable experience with the children who are not fortunate enough to have the usual Christmas parties and gift-giving occasions by applying the skills they have learned in the classrooms in a real gathering.

The kids were welcomed by the 2nd Year BS Hotel & Restaurant Management students of
STI College – Global City who also prepared the delicious food for the event.

Gracing this year’s outreach event are STI’s friends from various media organizations including Malaya, People’s Journal, Manila Standard Today, Manila Times, Balita, LOQAL.ph, GMA 7 (Protégé), Studio 23, ABS-CBN (Umagang Kay Ganda), and ABS-CBN Foundation.
